Fire Safety Design & Consultancy in Bangladesh

Fire safety design is the engineering that decides how a building will detect a fire, warn people, get them out and fight the fire, before anything is bought or installed. In Bangladesh it produces the drawings the Fire Service and Civil Defence reviews and the baseline every later audit is checked against.

This line covers the paper side of fire safety, which decides whether the hardware works. We design hydrant, sprinkler, alarm and suppression systems to NFPA and BNBC 2020, prepare the fire safety plan and support the FSCD approval, and audit existing buildings against the standard their buyers or regulators apply. Every job starts with a free site survey. Because our own team also installs, tests and maintains these systems, our designs are drawn by people who know what can actually be built on site.

Fire Safety Design & Consultancy: questions buyers ask

Design is the engineering: system layouts, pipe sizes, detector spacing, pump selection and calculations. The fire safety plan is the document set that presents the building's whole fire strategy, including escape routes, compartments and management, for review by FSCD. A good plan is built on a finished design, so we usually do both together.

BNBC 2020 Part 4 sets the national fire protection requirements, and the Fire Prevention and Extinguishing Act 2003 with its 2014 rules gives FSCD its inspection and licensing powers. Detailed system design commonly follows NFPA standards such as NFPA 13, 14, 20 and 72. Export factories may also be held to RSC or buyer standards.

Before the architectural drawings are final. Stair positions, shaft sizes, pump room location and water tank volume are hard to change once the structure is built. Bringing fire design in early lets those spaces be sized correctly, and it avoids redesign after an FSCD or buyer review.

Yes. An audit looks at what is on site against the applicable standard, whoever built it. We record what complies, what does not and what needs further testing, and we explain each finding so your own team or any contractor can act on it.
