Fire Detection and Alarm Systems in Bangladesh
A fire detection and alarm system senses smoke, heat, flame or gas, raises the alarm and starts evacuation before a fire spreads. Almost every factory, high-rise, hospital and commercial building in Bangladesh needs one. The choice is mainly between addressable and conventional systems, and which detectors suit each room.
We design, supply, install and commission fire alarm systems to NFPA 72 and BNBC 2020, using EN 54 and UL-listed panels and detectors from makers such as Bosch and Hochiki. That covers addressable networks for factories and towers, conventional panels for smaller buildings, and the right detector for each space, from dusty cutting floors to LPG kitchens. After handover our maintenance team keeps the system tested and logged, with 24/7 emergency support when a panel goes into fault.

Fire Detection & Alarm
Addressable fire alarm
An addressable fire alarm gives every detector, call point and module its own address on a wiring loop, so the panel names the exact device in alarm, such as a smoke detector in a third-floor cutting room. It suits factories, high-rises and any large building where finding the fire quickly matters.

Conventional fire alarm
A conventional fire alarm wires detectors and call points into zone circuits, and the panel shows which zone is in alarm rather than which device. It is simpler and cheaper than addressable, and it is a sound choice for small offices, shops and buildings with only a few clearly separated areas.

Smoke, heat & gas detection
Smoke, heat and gas detection means choosing the right sensor for each space so a fire or leak is found early without constant false alarms. A standard smoke detector fails in a dusty cutting room, a kitchen or a tall warehouse. Matching detectors to the hazard is what makes an alarm system trustworthy.

Addressable, conventional or special detection?
Building size and how precisely you need to find a fire decide most of it.
| Service | Best for | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| Addressable fire alarm | Best for: Factories, high-rises, hospitals, malls and multi-building sites | How: Each device has its own address on a loop, panel shows exact location |
| Conventional fire alarm | Best for: Small offices, shops and buildings with a handful of zones | How: Detectors wired in zone circuits, panel shows which zone is in alarm |
| Smoke, heat & gas detection | Best for: High ceilings, dusty areas, kitchens, server rooms and gas risks | How: Beam, aspirating, heat, flame and gas detectors matched to each hazard |

Fire Detection & Alarm: questions buyers ask
The main drivers are the number of devices, which depends on floor area, ceiling height and room layout, then the system type, panel capacity, cable routes and integrations with doors, lifts or PAVA. Special detectors such as beam or aspirating units add cost. We survey the site and quote from a device layout, not a guess.
Yes. Factories are expected to have automatic detection and manual call points with audible alarms throughout, and RSC and buyer audits test them on site. The coverage and system type depend on the building's occupancy, height and area under BNBC 2020, which the fire safety plan sets out.
NFPA 72 sets inspection and test frequencies for each component. Panels, batteries and notification devices are inspected regularly, and initiating devices such as detectors and call points are functionally tested at least annually. Many factories also run a weekly call point test so staff know the sound. Keep every test in a log.
Usually, yes. We survey the panel and devices, check the zone or loop records, and test a sample. Where the panel is a make we support we can maintain and extend it. Where it is obsolete or unsupported, we explain the replacement options and how to change over without leaving the building unprotected.
