Fire Detection & Alarm

Addressable Fire Alarm Systems in Bangladesh

An addressable fire alarm gives every detector, call point and module its own address on a wiring loop, so the panel names the exact device in alarm, such as a smoke detector in a third-floor cutting room. It suits factories, high-rises and any large building where finding the fire quickly matters.

Scope

What’s included.

Everything below is done by our own engineers and installation team, so one company answers for the result.

  • Device layout and loop design drawings
  • Addressable panel with battery standby
  • Smoke, heat and multi-sensor detectors
  • Manual call points and sounder beacons
  • Loop isolators and input/output modules
  • Fire-rated cabling and containment
  • Cause-and-effect programming
  • Commissioning, device labeling and as-built records

Why choose addressable over conventional?

Speed and certainty. On a large factory floor a zone may cover hundreds of square meters, and searching it costs time a fire does not give you. An addressable panel shows the device and its programmed location text, so the first responder goes straight to it.

The panel also tells a fire from a fault. A dirty detector, a removed head or a cut cable each show as a specific fault, not a vague zone trouble. The event log records every alarm, fault and test with a time, which auditors ask to see.

What is a cause-and-effect matrix?

It is the written logic of what the system does when each device activates. A detector on floor four might sound the alarm on floors three to five, release the fire doors on that floor, shut down the air handling unit, send lifts to the ground floor and start the PAVA evacuation message.

We agree the matrix with you during design and program the panel to match. During commissioning every line is tested and signed. A building without a written matrix usually has links nobody can explain, and after a few years of changes nobody can say what the panel will actually do in a real fire. The matrix stays with your records and is updated whenever the building changes.

How is an addressable loop made resilient?

Devices sit on a loop that starts and ends at the panel. Wired as Class A under NFPA 72, the panel can still reach every device from the other end if the cable is cut at one point. Short-circuit isolators split the loop into sections, so a short takes out only a few devices instead of the whole loop.

Large sites use several networked panels, one per building or block, with a repeater at the security gate. Every panel can display the whole site, so the guard at the gate sees an alarm in any building at the same moment as the local panel. Each panel keeps working on its own if the network link between buildings is damaged.

How it’s done

How we deliver it, step by step.

  1. 01

    Survey and zone

We walk the building, note ceiling heights and hazards, and agree location text for each area.

  2. 02

    Design loops

Devices are laid out, loops are planned within panel capacity and isolators are placed.

  3. 03

    Agree the matrix

We write the cause-and-effect logic for doors, lifts, ventilation, PAVA and pumps with you.

  4. 04

    Install and address

Our team pulls fire-rated cable, mounts devices and sets every address against the drawing.

  5. 05

    Test every device

Each detector and call point is triggered, each matrix line is proven, and results are signed.

Price guide

What sets the price.

Every site is different, so we price from a survey, not a rate card. These are the factors that move the number, and the written quote shows each one.

Get an exact quote
  • Number of detectors, call points and sounders
  • Number of loops, panels and network repeaters
  • Cable route length and containment type
  • Integration with doors, lifts, AHUs and PAVA
  • Special detectors such as beam or aspirating units
  • Working at height or in live production areas

Frequently asked questions

Cost follows the device count, the number of loops and panels, cable lengths and how many systems it must control. The panel is a smaller share than most people expect, since devices and cabling dominate on large sites. We quote from a device layout after a free survey.

Yes, as long as the panel has spare loop capacity or can accept extra loop cards. We usually design with spare capacity so a new floor or building can be added without replacing the panel. Additional panels can also be networked to the original one.

They help. Addressable panels can adjust detector sensitivity by time of day, use alarm verification so a brief puff of dust does not trigger a full evacuation, and flag detectors whose chambers are getting dirty before they cause a false alarm. Choosing the right detector type for the room matters just as much.

Yes. The fire panel signals the PAVA system through relay or network interfaces, and the PAVA plays the evacuation message in the affected zones and an alert message elsewhere. We design both so the zones line up, then test the link during commissioning.
