Land Survey & Drone Mapping in Bangladesh

A survey measures land and structures so designs, boundaries and quantities rest on real coordinates instead of guesses. RTK GNSS is fast in open ground, total stations handle detail and setting out, mouza surveys match a plot to government maps, and drones map large areas quickly. Many projects combine two or more of these methods.

We survey for real-estate developers, land buyers, factory expansion projects, utilities and design consultants across Chattogram, Dhaka, Gazipur and Narayanganj. Every job starts with what the result is for: a boundary check, a topographic base for design, setting out piles or a volume count. We then choose the instruments, tie the work to control points, process and check the data, and deliver drawings in the coordinate system and file formats your engineers or architects already use.

Which survey method fits your project?

The method follows the question you need answered, and many jobs combine two.

RTK GNSS surveyBest for: Open sites, control points, boundaries and large topographic surveysHow: Satellite positioning corrected in real time by a base station or network
Total station surveyBest for: Setting out piles and columns, building detail and areas under treesHow: Measures angles and distances from known points to precise targets
Mouza & land surveyBest for: Land purchase, boundary checks and plot identification against government mapsHow: Locates dag plots from mouza sheets and compares them with possession on the ground
Drone mapping & GISBest for: Large sites, stockpile volumes, progress records and GIS base mapsHow: Overlapping aerial photos processed into orthomosaics, elevation models and contours

Survey & Drone: questions buyers ask

Start with a mouza and land survey. It locates the dag on the mouza map, measures what is on the ground and shows any mismatch with neighbors, roads or water bodies. Pair it with a legal check of the khatian, deeds and mutation by a lawyer, because a survey shows position and area, not ownership.

We observe in WGS84 and deliver in UTM or the Bangladesh Transverse Mercator (BTM) grid, whichever your consultant or authority uses. Heights can be tied to a local benchmark or the datum your designer specifies. Agreeing this at the start avoids drawings that do not line up later.

Cost depends on the site area, terrain and vegetation, access, the detail and accuracy you need, the number of control points and the deliverables, such as CAD drawings, contours or a GIS dataset. A drone survey adds flight permission and processing. We confirm scope and deliverables in a written quote.

For open areas, a drone survey with well-placed ground control can come close to ground survey accuracy while capturing far more detail. Ground methods remain better for boundary pins, setting out and anything hidden under trees or roofs. Many projects combine both.

Yes. Drone flights need permission from the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), and sites near airports, military areas or other sensitive installations may need further clearance. We prepare the application with the site details you provide, so allow time for approval in your program.
