PABX & IP Telephone Systems in Bangladesh
A PABX is a private telephone exchange that connects the phones inside your building to each other and to outside lines. Staff dial short extension numbers for free internal calls, reception transfers calls, and the gate can reach management in one press. Modern systems are IP or hybrid, so desk phones, mobiles and existing analog sets can work together.

Analog, IP or hybrid PABX: what is the difference?
An analog PABX uses simple two-wire telephone cable and basic handsets. It is robust, cheap to run and still common in factories where many phones only need to call the office. Its limits are features and growth: adding extensions means adding cards and cable, and remote staff cannot join easily.
An IP PBX runs over your data network. Phones plug into network points and can be powered by PoE, staff can use a softphone on a laptop or mobile, and branches can share one exchange. A hybrid system mixes both, keeping existing analog sets on the floor while offices move to IP.
How does a PABX connect to outside lines in Bangladesh?
Outside calls come in either as conventional telephone lines or as SIP trunks from a licensed IP telephony provider. SIP trunks need only an internet or dedicated data link, and the number of simultaneous calls can be changed without new copper lines. Your provider's offer and your site's connectivity decide which route makes sense.
Plan for failure. If the data link carrying SIP trunks goes down, a backup line or second provider keeps reception working. We configure routing so calls to mobiles, landlines and branches take the right path, and restrict outside calls by extension where you need cost control.
What makes a PABX useful in a factory?
In a factory, the phone system is as much about internal coordination as outside calls. Floor in-charges, maintenance, the medical room, the security gate and the generator room need to reach each other quickly. Short, logical extension numbers, a ring group for maintenance and a hotline from the gate save time every day.
A PABX can also page through the PA system and, on many platforms, record calls from reception or purchasing. Put the exchange and core switch on a UPS, because during load-shedding or an emergency the phones are how people coordinate. Voice evacuation itself should still come from a certified PAVA system.
How it’s done
How we deliver it, step by step.
- 01
Map who calls whom
We list departments, extensions, intercom points and outside lines, then draft a numbering plan with you.
- 02
Choose the platform
Analog, IP or hybrid is selected from your cabling, growth plans and how your staff work.
- 03
Cable and install
Telephone or network points are installed, and the exchange is mounted, earthed and put on UPS.
- 04
Program call flows
Greeting, ring groups, transfers, call restrictions and trunk routing are programmed and test-called from each extension.
- 05
Train reception
Operators learn transfer, conference and night mode, and you receive the directory and admin access.
Price guide
What sets the price.
Every site is different, so we price from a survey, not a rate card. These are the factors that move the number, and the written quote shows each one.
- Number of extensions and the handset at each
- Analog, IP or hybrid platform and licensing
- New cabling or reuse of existing telephone wiring
- Number of outside lines or SIP channels
- Voicemail, call recording and auto attendant features
- UPS backup and network switch upgrades

Frequently asked questions
It depends on the number of extensions, whether you choose analog, IP or hybrid, the handsets, the number of outside lines and features such as voicemail or call recording. Reusing sound existing wiring lowers cost. We survey the site, agree the numbering plan and give an itemized quote.
Yes. Analog gateways or a hybrid exchange let existing handsets keep working on their current wiring while new IP phones are added in offices. You can move to IP in stages and spend on new handsets only where the extra features matter.
With an IP PBX, yes. A softphone app registers the mobile as an extension, so staff can take and transfer office calls on the move. It needs a secure configuration and a reliable data connection, and we set strong passwords to block toll fraud attempts.
Without backup, the exchange and PoE phones go dead. We put the exchange, network switches and critical phones on a UPS sized for your needs, or on generator-backed supply. Analog handsets powered from the exchange keep working as long as the exchange itself does.
Yes, for most common analog and IP exchanges. We review and back up the current configuration, fix faults and update the extension directory. If the maker no longer supports the exchange, we plan a staged replacement that reuses as much wiring as possible.
